Located in the heart of Maremma, in the south of Grosseto (Tuscany), Alberese Farm is one of the largest companies in Europe conducted according to the organic farming concept.
Alberese Estate is located in the heart of the Tuscan Maremma and extends over 4200 hectares.
Inside it has a rich historical and architectural heritage that has been largely restored in recent years: such as Villa Fattoria Granducale, San Rabano Abbey, Collelungo Tower, Castelmarino Tower and Spergolaia Barn.
The Alberese Estate still survives one of the trades that are part of Tuscany's history and traditions: the buttero. The butteri are the typical Maremman cowboy: that rule the herds of animals. In these areas, the Maremman oxle have large spaces and live almost in the wild.
The production of the Estate is carried out according to the biological method, which almost completely affects the surface of the holding. Among the wines produced with the prevalence of Sangiovese are Morellino di Scansano DOCG and IGT Maremma Toscana.
