The Fattoria Le Casalte, bought in 1975 initially as a country house, has become over time a true company.
It produces the Nobile and Rosso di Montepulciano res wines and a limited production of typical liquor Vin Santo.
The Fattoria Le Casalte is located in the heart of the production of Montepulciano wine, in Tuscany.
Today it is managed by the young Chiara Barioffi who has made many changes since the elimination of chemicals and herbicides, with the exception of the classic copper and sulfur.
The vinifications are carried out in steel and the maturations in large barrels for a year or two years.
There is also a small production of Vin Santo, bottled only in some years, which refines in wooden caratelli for at least 10 years, and is the product we have chosen for purchase: Vin Santo di Montepulciano DOC Le Casalte.
