The brigidini, typical of Lamporecchio, a small town in the province of Pistoia, are small, round, anise-shaped sweet, fragrant, crispy and very thin. Made with eggs, flour, sugar and aniseed, they are hand-decorated with chocolate.
Pack 200 g. Very delicate product.
Seasonal product (November-April).
The brigidini recipe seems to be born for a fortuitous case: towards the middle of the sixteenth century, the nuns of the convent of Santa Brigida in Pistoia, said "brigidine", mistaken the dough of the hosts, giving rise to brigidini.
Today the Brigidini is one of the most popular Tuscan products in the area and is inevitable in the country party stalls. Its composition is simple: eggs, sugar, refined flour and anise, which gives that particular taste and tasty.
The Brigidino di Lamporecchio has the characteristic round shape, with irregular edges, a golden yellow color and in the center is printed a stylized flower, the one found in the ancient molds with which it was originally produced.
The ones we offer here are handcrafted without added fatty parts, or preservatives, dyes or chemical additives, and hand-decorated with chocolate.
