China Massagli liquor, best known as China, was created in 1855 by Dr. Pasquale Massagli in his Pharmacy in Lucca, Tuscany. Today the Tuscany Region has called this liqueur Traditional Agri-food Product (PAT).
Nowadays it is produced following the original old recipe: an infusion of officinal herbs, spices and cortex of china calissaia leave to macerate for four to five months without using preservatives.
The color is dark, but limpid, bitter taste, pasty consistency and unmistakable aroma characterized by a harmonious combination of flavors in which no one prevails over the other.
