Carnaroli rice cultivated in Basso Pavese (Pavia), in a vacuum pack of 500 g.
This Carnaroli rice is grown by a small farm of the Fornaroli farmer, in the Basso Pavese area (Pavia - ombardy). Here, in the area of San Martino Siccomario, rice is grown by submersion with the water of the Ticino river. During the summer growth, the soil is prepared using traditional methods and integrated cultivation, which respects the environment and the plant itself.
The traditional processing is also visible from the color of the grains, which are not perfectly white: in fact the external states are almost all preserved together with the nutritive properties: carbohydrates, fibers and proteins.
Carnaroli rice does not overcook. So it is a rice ideal for risotto, seafood risotto included. It is also perfect for saldas, as it stays firm after cooking.
Usage: simmer for 15 minutes or more, according to taste.
