There are several versions of the creation of the Boulevardier. The most accredited says that it was the Scottish barman Mac Elhone who created the blend of Harry's Bar for Erskine Gwinne, an American journalist who moved to Paris and founded the fashion magazine Boulevardier Magazine. In 1927 Mac Elhone then wrote the recipe in his book Barflies and Cocktails.
Method of use: Pour the already fresh cocktail into an ice-cooled cup (just put it in the freezer for ten minutes). Optional: put a maraschino candied cherry in the cocktail.
