Organic Italian red wine produced in the Tenuta di Capezzana winery with Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes and an addition of Canaiolo.
Bottle 0,75 l.
The Italian red wine Barco Reale made by Tenuta di Capezzana Farm owes its name to the wall that delimits the vineyards of the ancient Medici property, the "Barco Reale Wall".
In 1716, the Granduca Cosimo III de 'Medici issued the first law, "Above the Declaration of the Borders of the Four Regions Chianti, Pomino, Carmignano and Valdarno Superiore", which established the boundaries of wine production, thus defining the territory in how to produce the wines to obtain the corresponding denomination. In fact, it anticipates the current DOC and DOCG, in order to safeguard wine-growing areas already known at Etruscan times.
The Barco Reale di Carmignano is a organic red wine obtained from 70% Sangiovese, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Canaiolo and 5% Cabernet Franc grapes.
It has a violet ruby red color. The nose is sweet, broad, fruity. Soft, bulky taste, wide with medium density sweet tannins. The aftertaste is fruity and persistent.
It goes with pasta or soups dishes in general, and with white and red meats.
