This red wine is made in a very small vineyard around the Rinascimental Villa of Trefiano, from which it is named. The vineyard's terrain has excellent characteristicques and a optimal exposition.
The grape blends used for this wine are Sangiovese, Cabernet and Canaiolo; the wine is then honed in tonneaux for 16 months, and then in bottle for over a year.
With this wine Contini Bonacossi family has had the ability to interpret the possibilities given by a generous territory such as Carmignano territory, thuis realizing a superlative red wine.
Trefiano DOCG Riserva made in Capezzana wine cellars has an intense rube red color. The scent is large, elegant, persistent, fruity and with spicy notes. At the taste it is soft, structured, fat -almost opulent-, with a thick tannin. Acidity is equilibrated respect to wine structure and its volume. The aftertast is long and persistent, with fruity notes of berry family, together with spices. The aromatic dimension is superb, with a spicy and fruity aftertaste.
