"Rosso di Montepulciano" is a D.O.C. only since 1989 and it can also be produced simply by downgrading the grapes registered in Vino Nobile.
For Poliziano, on the other hand, a choice was made without compromise: the most suitable vineyards were selected to obtain a young, fruity and full-bodied wine.

Poliziano is a Rosso di Montepulciano DOC produced with selected grapes and composed of 80% Sangiovese and 20% Merlot.
The vineyards are located between 280 and 350 meters above sea level, in soils with clayey and silty subsoil. The must ferments in stainless steel vats at controlled temperature. Fermentation and maceration last for 12 days, followed by aging for 8 months in steel and in large barrels, for 20% of the total mass.
Ruby color, intense and persistent. On the nose there are fruity and spicy notes, with slight hints of humus. The taste is captivating on the palate, fresh and savory. The tannin is well worked.
