Trebbiano IGT di Capezzana is a Tuscan white wine made in the Carmignano region, that is much more famous for its superlative red wines.
This white wine is a bet, that we think has succeeded, as this wine is really superlative!
This Tuscan white wine was born in 2000. Contini Bonacossi family wanted to recover and reintroduce Trebbiano vine variety in Tuscany.
The making of the wine is foloowed very carefully: they choose only the best plants, they prune the plants in a particular way, thegrapes that are not ripe yet are eliminated, (green grape harvest) and the harvest itself is very late. The wild fruit thus obtained is very rich. It is put in fermentation and refining inside a tonneaux, so that the wine will be rich in secondary scents and it is ready for a long ageing.
The bet they have bet has been won: Tuscan backcountry hardly provides excellent white wines, but in this case we have a product that goes well beyond acceptability. It is superb, try it!
Trebbiano IGT di Capezzana has a pale yellow color, with golden nuances. The scent recalls almonds, wild yellow flowers and vanilla. The taste is intense, armonc, with deicate tannins. It results in a soft elegance as an etereal wine, and well balanced, wiith a complex and persistent aftertaste.
Goes well with white meats and shellfish.
